THE MAN OF THE DAY
In a semi-final that looked like a final, Japan’s Ryutaro Araga won against Turkey’s Aktas 5-4 and qualified for the final. A premiere for him since his victory in 2017.
In a tight and tactically elevated fight, Araga was able to be more precise and played against time to overcome Aktas. A great performance that opens him the doors to the final.
THE COMEBACK OF THE DAY
Suspended after his punch on a Russian in Moscow, Jonathan Horne was back on a K1. Finalist in the Santiago Series A two weeks ago, the German does not seem to have lost his rhythm and advances to the final for bronze after his defeat in the semifinals with the flags against Georgia’s Arkania.
FIGHT OF THE DAY
