SCORE OF THE DAY
Fighting for the bronze medal of -60kg, the young Moroccan (18) Edari and Japan’s Sago participated in the score of the day. Uncompromising, Osama Edari beats the Japanese 8-0 and wins before the time runs out as required by the rules. Like the Moroccan, the young Russian Chernysheva (18) won 8-0 by scoring a scathing mawashi geri jodan to Terliuga to conclude the fight.
THE WARRIOR
This is the great story of this Open Paris Karate. France’s Yanis Lamotte (-67kg) wins the bronze medal. Victorious of Chile’s Velozo 2-0, Yanis Lamotte first twisted his knee after a sweeping attempt. Continuing the fight by gritting his teeth, he scored gyaku tsuki 30 seconds before the end and a second one 13 seconds from the end to get the victory.
THE ACTION OF THE DAY
The action of the day came from Wu Chun-Wei (Tpe) who scored a Ura Mwashi Geri Jodan 11 seconds to the end to win 5-4 and wins the bronze against the World champion Ivan Kvesic (-84 kg).
Like him, Steven Da Costa delighted everyone with his legs : one Mawashi Geri, one Yoko Geri and two Ura Mawashi Geri. Everything happened with the French.
Last move of the day, the Ura Mawashi Geri jodan of Iran’s Abbasali (+68 kg) who slammed the head of Turkey’s Hocaoglu in a perfect timing.
