The World champions Zaretska (-68kg) and Chatziliadou (+68kg) qualified for the final as the -84 kg n°1, Ugur Aktas. The surprise of the day comes from France’s Dnylson Jacquet who qualified for the final in +84kg.

World N°1 Ugur Aktas confirms status. Imperial until the quarter-finals, he benefits of France’s Jessie Da Costa injury (knee) whereas he was led 1-0. He will then fight Araga in the semifinal. In this fight that worths a final, he won by the smallest gap 1-0 and reaches once again the ultimate fight. Facing him, Kazakhstan’s Daniyar Yuldashev qualified for the final by winning Poorshaab in ¼ (2-0) and Azerbaijan’s Abdullayev in the semifinal (3-1).

+84kg : Premiere for Jacquet
Registered with his club, Samurai 2000 of Le Mans, Dnyslon Jacquet reaches a Premier League final for the first time. In the semi-final, he won 3-2 against Iran’s Abazari and will fight another Iranian in the final, Sajad Ganjzadeh. In the semi-final, the 2016 World champion defeated Chili’s Rojas 3-3.

Male Kata : Quintero and Sofuoglu won Japan
In the absence of Emperor Ryo Kiyuna, his son, Damian Quintero was not left out of the final to hope to win a K1 this year 2019 (Anan Dai, 26.34). At home, the Spanish will meet his European rival, Turkey’s Ali Sofuoglu. The latter got his qualification by taking the best of Kazumasa Moto in the semifinal (25.74 with Kankusho vs 25.42 with Unsu).

-61kg : Yin Xiaoyan and Gataullina in final
Ex n°1 in the ranking, China’s Yin Xiaoyan will try to win her 3rd title this year. In the semi-final she win against Ukraine’s Shostak 2-0.
In the final, Russia’s Gataullina, winner of the France’s Leila Heurtault in semi-final (5-2), will fight against her.

Victorious of the last two K1, Irina Zaretska once again reaches the final. In Madrid, the World champion will face Italy’s Semeraro in the final. After beating France’s Alizee Agier in ¼ final (2-1) and then Quirici in the semi-final, the Italian champion will try to win her first K1 of the year 2019.
