He had not won a Karate 1 since 2015. Hungary’s Harspataki (-75 kg) repaired this oversight on Sunday at the Salzburg Series A (March 1-3), which broke the participation record for an international tournament (2000 participants).
Kazakshtan, Iran and Turkey place one of their fighters on the podium in each category. In Kata, Japan’s Moto dominated Spain’s Quintero.

2000 athletes registered ! Ten days after the announcement of the absence of Karate at the 2024 Games, never a competition has gathered so many people ! The Salzburg Series A (March 1-3) holds its record. The first day has long been devoted to Kata (more than 500 participants !) But, in the final, we find the same. Kazak Assadilov (-60 kg) holds his second consecutive final after Dubai. In +84 kg, the world champion will play bronze on Sunday.
