Normal life is gradually taking over. After a 2nd Kata competition in Turkey last weekend which brought together 1,800 Karatekas in Sakarya, a Karate 1 is announced in Moscow from December 11 to 13, which would be the first international competition since the lockdown.

It remains to be seen whether the Russian government will relax its policy which, for the time being, requires to remain in quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival on the Russian soil.

In addition, in an interview to AFP, John Coates, IOC Vice-President and President of the Coordination Committee for the 2020 Olympics, was categorical about the holding of the Olympics in 2021, whatever the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic. « The Games, with or without Covid, will begin on July 23 […] It will be the Games that have defeated the Covid, the light at the end of the tunnel ».

Although it was a loss, that fight is still very much in his memory today. This is his best fight.
