The last ones are taking the plane today. Many have already arrived in Japan. Not all of them are in Tokyo yet. This is the case with the US team which chose Koga, 35 miles from Tokyo, as their base camp. Thomas Scott and his partners will join the Olympic Village on Sunday.

Your first impressions ?

USA Karate is spending one week in Koga city and the hosts have been wonderful. We have space to train and workout however we wish. The staff brings us food from a culinary arts school. We have been taken care of very well by the people of Koga.

Your day (Thursday 29) ?

We are training, studying film, and working out every day.  We are also taking time to relax and rest in between sessions. We have a private team room where we can play games, relax with tv, or read in the corner. It is great. Our bus takes us to dinner at the culinary arts school.

Your Karate ?

I am so excited to compete in the Games next week. Every practice is getting more focused and stronger. I am feeling ready and focused. My teammates are building as well and we are ready to put on a great show !

The Olympic Games ?

We will move to the Olympic village this Sunday. I cannot wait to get there. But leaving Koga will be sad for me because we have had such a great time here as well.
