The World Karate Federation has announced that the 2021 Karate 1 Premier League of Rabat has been postponed to October 29-31 due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Premier League of Lisbon, scheduled from April 30 to May 2, will replace the tournament in Rabat as the Olympic qualifying event in the road to Tokyo 2021. In the case that the Premier League of Lisbon will not be held because of the Covid pandemic, the Olympic qualification ranking will only take into account the European championships in Porec, Croatia (May 19-23). If those cannot be held, the 2019 Europeans would be the reference competition to end the Olympic ranking.
