Already on the roof of Europe, Steven Da Costa won his 3rd title in a row, as Irina Zaretska. A great accomplishment !
Another highlight of the day, Youssef Badawi won his 2nd title in a row and Ali Sofuoglu beat Quintero who will never be world champion.

Budapest 2023 / Badawy, Torres Garcia and Zaretska once again in final
On Tuesday 24th October, the 26th karate world championships started in Budapest. In the morning, Damian Quintero, Ali Sofuoglu, Hikaru Ono and Grace Lau qualified for the final in kata.
In the afternoon, the reigning world champions, Youssef Badawy -84kg, Maria Torres Garcia +68kg and Irina Zaretska -68kg reached the final.

Asian Games / Ganjzadeh in gold, China is back
Two weeks before the World championship (October 24-29 in Budapest), the Asian Games were held in Hangzhou (China) from October 5 to 8. The Iranian star, world and olympic champion Sajad Ganjzadeh won the title as Gong Li. Kazakhstan ranks 1st nation. All the results.
